introduction
bliss is an anonymous social app for adults 18 and older. we take your privacy seriously.
what we collect
- email (via Google Sign In)
- date of birth (to verify you are 18+)
- gender and orientation
- location (precise GPS while you use bliss — we store only your latest position and delete it with your account; other users only ever see distance, computed from coordinates blurred to roughly 1 km)
- interests and preferences
- messages (deleted after 24 hours)
- voice notes (deleted within 24 hours)
- device token (for push notifications)
what we do not collect
- your real name
- a history of your movements — we keep only your latest location, nothing prior
- long-term photo or video storage — media is view-once and removed by our automatic cleanup (see data retention)
how we use your data
- to show you compatible people nearby
- to deliver messages
- to send push notifications
- to verify you are old enough to use bliss
- we never sell your data
- we never share your data with advertisers
age verification
to keep bliss adults-only and to comply with the law, we ask for your date of birth and record a confirmation that you are 18 or older. this age-verification record (the date you declared and when) is kept even after you delete your account, as legal proof that we verified your age. it is the only information we retain after deletion.
data retention
- messages: 24 hours
- media (images/videos): deleted on view, or within 25 hours if never viewed
- account data: kept until you delete your account
- on account deletion: your profile and app data are permanently removed immediately; your sign-in record is removed within one hour; any remaining media within 25 hours. the age-verification record above is the sole exception, retained as legal proof of age.

- Supabase — database and storage hosting
- Google — sign in only
- Expo — push notification delivery
- Telegram — used to send our moderation team alerts about user reports; these alerts contain only anonymous display names and report counts, never your identity or message content
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for gifts (when purchased)
moderation and safety
bliss has in-app reporting, human review of reports, and the ability to suspend accounts that break our rules. reported conversations may be reviewed by our moderation team solely to act on a report.
service availability
bliss is currently available exclusively in India. users outside India may not use this service.

data breach

- bliss is for adults 18 and older only
- we do not knowingly collect data from minors
- if we learn a user is under 18, we remove their account and data
